Work party Wednesday May 31 9am to noon

We had lots of folks out at the work party this past week which made the work much easier to accomplish. We're looking for the same for this coming Wednesday May 31 as we are placing 2 concrete benches and they are heavy.  Meet at the Moyie info centre at 9am. The concrete pads are there already so its a case of drilling bolt holes and then assembling the benches in place.

June 7th work party is cancelled.

Lettrari Loop dangers

FYI. Will be putting this on next weeks work party.

Stu

From Kendrick Lawless
Was on the Extension trail this morning cleaning up the Letrari Loop and discovered a several trees down a rock slide along the stairs and a little ways up the trail as well.
I cleared one tree from a creek that causing it to overrun the banks and wash out part of the trail. But the rest will require chainsaws and more people to move those rocks.

This looking down the bottom the stairs.

Looking up you can see how precarious the fallen tree is. It is being held in place by that little tiny tree. So it is in imminent danger of falling.

This is looking up from the bottom of the stairs.

And hear are a few of the trees found laying across the trail.
